This series consists of visual depictions, including scrapbooks, photographs, and video footage, of the DPCA's annual National Specialty shows. The annual scrapbooks and photograph compilations were created by DPCA and consist mostly of win shots with identifying information such as dog name, class, and placement. Scope and Contents
From the Series:
Realia and Art includes a variety of three dimensional items representing and honoring Doberman Pinschers. There are several statues and book plates, club posters, pins, medallions, and works of art in sculpture and watercolors. Items of particular interest include a set of ear clamps from around 1980, and a print depicting the dog market in Apolda, Germany, where Doberman Pinschers originated.
