Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The German collection, compiled by the DPCA Archives Committee from member donations, consists of German-language periodicals and books about Doberman Pinschers (Dobermann-Pinschers in German) and German club yearbooks. Also included is a scrapbook of Ch. Troll von der Engelsburg and Ch. Asta von der Domstadt, notable Doberman imports from Germany.

Scope and Contents George Rood (1914-2010) was a respected dog trainer, handler and dog show judge during his lifetime. He was honored with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Doberman Pinscher Club of America in 2000 for his contributions to the breed. A tribute article and interview with George can be found in the Sept-Oct 2010 issue of The Doberman Pinscher magazine. Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Book 1 and 2 consist of documents and periodicals removed from two three-ring binders, including articles, correspondence, Illini Dobe Doings, an interview and article in Dobe World, and four photographs. The collection also includes pedigrees, registrations, awards, and photographs, especially of Dobermans from Von Der Heide Kennels, Reg., under which John and his wife Sally E.
