These files consist of numerous pedigrees and correspondence shared between Dorothy Howe and various other Labrador Retriever breeders and owners. Occasionally, a corresponding photograph or news clipping is included. These records supplement Dorothy Howe's Rupert Kennels breeding records in Series 4, as they discuss possible breedings, health matters, breeding logistics, and show relationships among the breed's various kennels.

Scope and Contents Marjorie, a/k/a Maggie, Hilliard (1905-1993) of Michigan was a one-litter breeder (Hilmar), owner, exhibitor, judge, and rescuer of Doberman Pinschers since her family first brought Dobermans back from Europe in the late 1920s.
