Rod and Margaret Carveth bought their first Doberman Pinscher in 1959. The Carveths began breeding in California under the "Tevrac" kennel name and produced numerous champions and titled dogs. The Carveths' Ch. Ru Mar's Tsushima, C.D., called "Tish," was the top winning dog of any breed in the United States in 1965.
