Scrapbook. In Memory of George Rood, 1934-2009
Scope and Contents
George Rood (1914-2010) was a respected dog trainer, handler and dog show judge during his lifetime. He was honored with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Doberman Pinscher Club of America in 2000 for his contributions to the breed. A tribute article and interview with George can be found in the Sept-Oct 2010 issue of The Doberman Pinscher magazine. This album includes photographs spanning Mr. Rood's lifetime, from his early childhood to his 95th birthday celebration. The folder includes loose certificates, clippings, and pedigrees from the album.

Two document boxes comprising governance files and National Specialty records are restricted and inaccessible due to the presence of inactive mold. Please see the archivist for details. The rest of the This collection is open to research without restrictions.
