Arrangement
The series is arranged by topic. Breed photographs are arranged alphabetically by breed name. Within each breed, photographs are further organized by subject category, including candids, children and dogs,puppies, portraits, junior showmanship, and win shots, with win shots arranged chronologically by decade.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The photographs in this series have been collected by or transferred to the AKC Library & Archives from the AKC Gazette, other AKC departments, or external entities. In many cases, provenance and contextutal information may be noted on the verso of the images or in associated documentation. Where known, sources and dates of acquisition are recorded in the catalog record or accession files.
