6. Photographs and slides, c. 1917-1985
Scope and Contents
These materials include photographs, slides, and negatives mostly dating from the 1950s to 1970s, with a few from the early 1980s and an early childhood photograph of Dorothy Page Whitney (nee Lindsay). Included are numerous portraits and candids of Ms. Whitney with her dogs, John O. Page training dogs in hunting and obedience, and other "publicity" photos for the kennel. There are also some win shots for Page-bred dogs (1972-1981), and photographs of litters and puppies, Gordon Setter artwork, and friends and family, some provided by purchasers of Page's Gordon Setters.
