Stud Cards, 1929-1948
Scope and Contents
The bulk of the club's administrative records include five binders of meeting minutes, membership records, and various other records compiled by the club. Contents of the five binders are varied; some records in the binders are more historical than administrative in nature, such as articles and photographs of notable breeders and postage stamps featuring President Roosevelt's Scottish Terrier, Fala. Binders also include meeting minutes and membership lists, although more comprehensive collections of these records are included in this series separate from the club binders. Binders also include compiled lists for topics such as specific trophy winners, Best in Show Scottish Terrier winners at Westminister Kennel Club and National Specialty shows, and stud dog and brood bitch lists. Club records from 1988-89 are well represented in the binders, with tabbed dividers for different committees and subjects, as are the 1993 Recording Secretary's files. Binder 5 contains new membership ballots from 1997 to 2003. See notes in item entries for more specific listings of the contents of each binder.
In addition to the binders, administrative records include meeting minutes, although not inclusive of all years, and detailed membership cards dating from the 1960s to 1990s.
