Photographs and negatives. Various Doberman Pinschers from Jerry Run Kennels and Germany, c. 1930s-1960s

 File — Carton: 368991, Box: PH.1, Folder: 3

Scope and Contents

Many small format photographs were found loose and include a variety of Doberman Pinschers from Jerry Run Kennels as well as a few imported from Germany. Some photographs of specific dogs were found grouped together by dog, including Buckie and Theo, Zombie, and Judy (there is also a slide version of one print of Judy). A photo of Astor v.d. Adlersruhe is accompanied by a handwritten pedigree. This group of photos includes post cards from Verona, Italy, where the Carpenters attended a dog show in 1940, and the Badlands, South Dakota, as well as a stud card for "Ch. Damon of Jerry Run." Other photos of interest include a photo of Eri v. Norturgatal, indicated to have served as a war dog, and handler Peter Knoop. Some photos have corresponding negatives. Additionally, there are loose negatives that may or may not have a corresponding print photo in the collection. Some photos and negatives were removed from a small paper album that was in very poor condition.
