Biographical / Historical

Prominent breeder and exhibitor Olga Hone Rogers (1903-1961) was the owner of Surrey Kennels in Bedford Village, NY and later Rockland County. The great stock market crash of 1929 seriously damaged her family finances, leading her to the breeding of English Cocker Spaniels and Poodles, and later to the establishing of Dogs, Inc, a New York City grooming salon. Her daughter Anne Rogers Clark became an international recognized poodle expert, professional handler, dog writer, and judge.
