James W. Spring collection of mid-century press clippings, 1928-1934
Scope and Contents
Chiefly contains press clippings related to dog shows and other general news and issues related to the fancy from the mid-1920s to early-1930s. Most content is related to the Terrier group.
Also present are a Westminster ribbon and judge's critique ticket for the 1932 Ladies Kennel Association dog show. The latter two materials are attributed to James W. Spring, who also appears in bylines and judge's listings; for these reasons the scrapbook is perceived to have been assembled by Spring.
