Abstract

The collection documents the club's activities since its founding in 1936, and is fairly comprehensive in nature. Highlights include meeting minutes dating back to the beginning; catalogs, photographs, and correspondence files for National Specialties from the early 1970s through early 2000s; comprehensive runs of the club newsletters and handbooks; and an extensive series of photographs and negatives, sometimes accompanied by pedigrees, depicting important dogs of the breed.

Abstract

The Westminster Kennel Club dog show collection contains printed matter produced by the most high-profile conformation dog show in America, dating from its inception in 1877 through 1987. Non-inclusive runs of unmarked catalogs and premium lists are present for the late 1920s through the 1980s, in addition to a catalog and awards booklet for the original 1877 show and a small selection of press clippings, a bound members book, and mid-century admission tickets.

Abstract The Muskogee Kennel Club is an American Kennel Club licensed, all-breed dog club in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Muskogee Kennel Club Collection consists of photographs from the club's all-breed dog shows from 1974 to 1999 and one show catalog from 2004. There is typically one set of show photographs per year, although some years have photographs from two shows, one in spring and one towards year end. Contains club administration documents, show files (premium lists, judging programs, marked catalog pages), officer and committe reports, handbooks, a personal scrapbook created by Gewendolyn Farnsworth, and the secretary's book documenting the execution of the first specialty hosted in 1965.
