Scope and Contents From the Series:

Realia and Art includes a variety of three dimensional items representing and honoring Doberman Pinschers. There are several statues and book plates, club posters, pins, medallions, and works of art in sculpture and watercolors. Items of particular interest include a set of ear clamps from around 1980, and a print depicting the dog market in Apolda, Germany, where Doberman Pinschers originated.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: This series consists of visual depictions, including scrapbooks, photographs, and video footage, of the DPCA's annual National Specialty shows. The annual scrapbooks and photograph compilations were created by DPCA and consist mostly of win shots with identifying information such as dog name, class, and placement. Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Book 1 and 2 consist of documents and periodicals removed from two three-ring binders, including articles, correspondence, Illini Dobe Doings, an interview and article in Dobe World, and four photographs. The collection also includes pedigrees, registrations, awards, and photographs, especially of Dobermans from Von Der Heide Kennels, Reg., under which John and his wife Sally E.
