Scope and Contents Marjorie, a/k/a Maggie, Hilliard (1905-1993) of Michigan was a one-litter breeder (Hilmar), owner, exhibitor, judge, and rescuer of Doberman Pinschers since her family first brought Dobermans back from Europe in the late 1920s. Maggie was active in the DPCA, the DPC of Michigan, and Doberman rescue. Maggie's father was good friends with Glenn S. Scope and Contents Eleanor Houston (nee Hill) Carpenter was an early importer of Doberman Pinschers from Germany in the mid to late 1930s, including notable Dobermans Ch. Cherloc v. Raufelsen and Ch. Assy von Illerblick, and produced many champions as a breeder. Carpenter also wrote educational articles on Dobermans and was active in the DPCA and as a judge. The German collection, compiled by the DPCA Archives Committee from member donations, consists of German-language periodicals and books about Doberman Pinschers (Dobermann-Pinschers in German) and German club yearbooks. Also included is a scrapbook of Ch. Troll von der Engelsburg and Ch. Asta von der Domstadt, notable Doberman imports from Germany.

Scope and Contents Frank L. Grant was an active exhibitor, breeder, and owner of Doberman Pinschers in the 1940s and early 1950s in Michigan and Ohio. Haines was a Doberman owner, exhibitor, handler, and breeder in the late 1950s-1960s through his Michigan kennel, Checkmate Kennels and co-breeder/co-owner Jack F. Hronek.
