These special collections consist of items that were kept together by DPCA and related to a particular subject, notable person, or Doberman Pinscher. Most collections are titled after the persons that created or are the subject of the materials, although some are titled for a specific Doberman Pinscher that is the subject of the collection. The German collection contains German-language materials and a scrapbook of two Dobermans imported from Germany.

9. Realia and Art, 1887-2005
Realia and Art includes a variety of three dimensional items representing and honoring Doberman Pinschers. There are several statues and book plates, club posters, pins, medallions, and works of art in sculpture and watercolors. Items of particular interest include a set of ear clamps from around 1980, and a print depicting the dog market in Apolda, Germany, where Doberman Pinschers originated.
