Marjorie, a/k/a Maggie, Hilliard (1905-1993) of Michigan was a one-litter breeder (Hilmar), owner, exhibitor, judge, and rescuer of Doberman Pinschers since her family first brought Dobermans back from Europe in the late 1920s. Eleanor Houston (nee Hill) Carpenter was an early importer of Doberman Pinschers from Germany in the mid to late 1930s, including notable Dobermans Ch. Cherloc v. Raufelsen and Ch.
